with Laura Kebart, M.Ed.
Book your on-site professional development workshop for the hands-on implementation experience that Laura Kebart leads for teachers in the US. She focuses on routines and procedures for empowering confident student-centered learning in ELA reading and writing classrooms. Laura teaches these strategies through her proprietary “Centers & Stations the Easy Way” workshops which guide teachers step-by-step in implementing effective and enjoyable small group learning to increase student engagement and to allow teachers to meet the needs of their learners.
WHILE I TEACH THROUGH BITE-SIZED, EASILY DIGESTIBLE MODULES OF 'HOW-TO' STRATEGIES, TEACHER ATTENDEES WILL ALSO BE TALKING, QUESTIONING, AND PLANNING WITH EACH OTHER AS THEY PREP FOR STATIONS THE EASY, REALISTIC WAY.
IN THE WORKSHOP-STYLE TRAININGS I HOST, WE STOP TO PLAN AND IMPLEMENT THE LEARNINGS THROUGHOUT THE DAY SO TEACHERS ARE ABLE TO GET SUPPORT FROM ME AND COLLABORATE WITH EACH OTHER TO ENSURE CONFIDENT CLASSROOM IMPLEMENTATION.
I PROVIDE THE MATERIALS AND RESOURCE HANDOUTS TEACHERS NEED (BOTH DIGITAL & PRINT COPIES) SO THEY CAN FOCUS ON LEARNING, PLANNING, AND TRANSFORMING THEIR STUDENTS' GROWTH INSTEAD OF SCRAMBLING TO CREATE MATERIALS THEY DON'T HAVE TIME TO CREATE.
Teachers can run productive, effective stations despite class time limitations:
"I just completed the Centers & Stations PD. It is fabulous. The information you shared is indispensable to time management, productivity, student engagement, accountability, and my most daunting deficit, timing. Thank you!"
-- Gloria W.
"This training was PERFECT and exactly what I needed. Very timely! I also see how stations will actually help me reach more students personally each week and cover/re-teach more concepts than I've had time for!"
-- Leslie S.
"Thank you for an insightful and helpful training! I will shortly be entering my third year of teaching, and I have been wanting to implement centers in my classroom for over a year. I now finally feel prepared to do just that."
-- Michelle P.
"Wow! This stations training was phenomenal. It was well-planned with good strategies and handouts! I can walk into my classroom next week and actually start doing this. I've never been to such an organized PD workshop before where I got real materials and plans done. I'm ready to do this!"
— Terri O.
